Drop dead gorgeous Gary.... My next boat would be needing a pair of these bad boys :D

A guy with your style would need two motors with Whipple w305 efi's. They are just as nice and very friendly at slow speeds/shifting. Plus you will need that reliable :D  1200hp per side to get that new Skater up to speed, right?

Style is one thing, prudent investment in a depreciating asset is another. Skater would be my choice for sure if I wanted to go $500k+, but I am not willing to even think about that as an option.
I bet twin 848's in that new 35' Bullet would be a runner  :D

Just let me know when you are totally bored with that 700 so we can put a Whipplecharged motor in that Sportdeck. I am sure we won't have any problems selling the 700:)

The last thing George needs is MORE speed  But then again, it is never really about need when it comes to us boys and our toys  :D

Hey Gary, after reading the article in Hot Boat (yes, they have a magazine) about the custom engines and emissions - I thought of you.
I think it would be super-slick if you started ahead of the game and got together with a marine cat-converter mfg to make some high-flow ones specifically for your motors. Then, while they were developing that (those), you could start working O2 sensors into your ECM/motors.
Overall, I really don't think you would lose that much HP, and the engines would be even safer - as the O2 sensor(s) would keep an "eye" on things.
If you ended up with a turn-key emissions-friendly 800+HP motor, you business would be safe well into the future.
Just a thought.

Still have the pictured 848 efi
It is available, and I really would like it sold by the end of 2007, so I do not have to carry it into 2008.

I am looking into that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Buy Me:D
I really don't want to carry this motor into 2008, so if you need a new motor or two, give me a call, or e-mail me and we can talk about this beautiful new Polished TPI848efi. This is the motor that is on display at Absolute Speed and Marine in Lake Havasu, on Industrial Ave.
I will consider trade ins of used engines. I will also consider a trade for a nice orange 69 Pro Street Camaro:D :D :D
Any licenced hardscape/landscape contractors with references that would like to do some trade work,,,,,,,,,,,,you can contact me at:
Taylor Performance Inc.

Thanks
Gary Taylor

What is your rigging fee to install your own engine? Or does that price include rigging?

TPI

That is the price for the motor only, ready to drop in.
TPI's labor rate is $95/HR. The charge for installing the motor depends on the type of boat and its condition when it arrives for installation. I have recieved boats with hoses going everywhere and a gallon of oil in the bilge and all over the engine compartment that were just dropped off for a new motor. That circumstance will be much more expensive than the brand new hull that has never had an engine bolted to it. There are also some hulls that are VERY tight to work with and require more time for the install,,,,,,,,,,,,,so a flat rate for installation is really hard to quote. I would have to see the boat to give a fair honest quote for labor.
Also,
This particular motor can be converted to a TPI 900 efi for an additional $1500. It has already been upgraded to Polished and has the 900 stubby snout/billet crossover and grooved damper. It would only need a MOAC intercooler, more boost and a computer program change to make WELL over 925 HP!

Here is a short video of an 848 that was just shipped to Alabama. This particular motor required a few accessory mods to help with the installation, such as the remote oil filter on the front of the Port cylinder head. Please don't ask what it's going in,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm not supposed to tell:)
