Good luck! My wife completed hers a couple years ago. It's a lot of work for teachers, but well worth it. It's also an excuse to head out to the river w/the kids so she can have some quiet study time.

Congrats to the Mrs. It's not just a commitment to the education, but a commitment from the whole family to support each other while Mom is obtaining her personal goals.
You're very luck to be in a position where she can take the time to further her self development.
Good luck!

With a masters she can get to the admin part of the education system. Can make a lot more money. I know a few teachers and administration level personel in the Corona/Norco SD and they are making pretty good money. One of the highest paying districts around....or at least that is what I have been told.

Is she on an emergency crendential? Sub? Permanent hire?
I have an ex that teaches there and she got her Masters while working and she got a nice increase just for completing it. Now the door is open to being a Principal or Asst. Principal. Also opens the door to go into District wide type administration. If that is what she chooses to do of course.
Regardless of what the pay is teachers deserve more IMO....

permanent, masters and then some. Definetely a labor of love type job. Most people have no idea of the work that teachers have to do after hours, etc. I didn't. I have mucho respect for them now. Huge props to all teachers!!
