That depends how long has the corpse been in there, & has it been removed?
I take it this is about the lost mouse that Jordy let everyone know escaped in your SUV yesterday? :D

Depends on the size of the corpse and to what state (condition) it decomposed

It don't.
It gets into the carpet, the seats, the headliner, and the heat and air systems.
Of course there are degrees of stench based on the decomp level of the body but 2-3 days in hot temps, It would be a lost couse.

It's probably in your heating duct work. It will go a way in a few months, unless you tear apart the dash and dig it out.
Note: if it was a larger corpse, it might take years.

Note: if it was a larger corpse, it might take years. Thanks, I guess I need lots of air freshener for a few months because I'm not tearing the car apart. I'd sell it first. I've left the windows down but since it looks like rain, looks like I'm DOOMED!

When I was a tech for Lexus, we would get this all the time. Dead mice in the fan "squirrel" cage. Man the stink was terrible, not sure how long it will take to go away when it's still in there rotting away.:( This could take a while.

If you haven't smelled something by now then maybe he got out.
But if you can smell it. :yuk:
Leave the car in the sun for a couple of days. As soon as that little bag of bones dries out it'll quit stinking. Only one problem, If it died in the ductwork of the heater, every time you turn the fan on high you'll have a little wad of leather flopping around in there to drive you nuts.
Good Luck

Never...
Many years ago, before college, I was on a "hearse run" for an apparent suicide. Garden hose taped to the tailpipe, routed into the passenger area. Windows were all sooted up and dark & opaque. Coroner shows up, little old lady in her 60's, 4'10" tall, & 90 pounds... she opens the door and WTF, that wasn't soot on the windows... it was all the many many flies that had hatched... Sorry, death rotted stench, ain't going away...
