Please check out this link. This is an organization I work with and they are desperately looking for foster/adoptive homes.
As most of you know, Las Vegas has one of the highest foreclosure rates in the nation right now which means many, many people are having to surrender their pets.:( There's just not enough people to help these poor dogs. So, if you or anybody you know is interested in helping a Lab, please check out the dogs on this page that are owner surrenders that Las Vegas Lab Rescue is trying to place.

After I adopted Lacey from retrievers and friends in the Inland Emp. I found this website. It's great! It not only helps dogs get homes but there are so many people on this site that are so informative. Since I had never had a lab before, I did have questions and this site was great. Great site and keep adopting :D

They are getting owner surrender emails almost daily:( There's just not enough foster homes so she can accept the dogs into the rescue. Once they get into foster care, they're usually adopted in less than 2 weeks. At this point though, most of the people looking to rehome their dogs, are out of time and have to leave their home and can't take the dog with them.:(
Mrs. Casean, you're right, it is an awesome site with some really well informed people on there who have great advice:)

TG I wish I could help but I'm maxed out.
fyi though there is a no-kill shelter in Ontairo on Mission (West End Shelter I believe) that will take dogs that have to be given up. They do not take strays though. It's not free (there are fees I believe) but they guarantee to place the dogs they take in or they live there until such occurs.
