Hi,
On the bowl of my Berkley (one piece bowl), there are 2 1/4" pipe plugs.
I know you guys have posted what they are for, and if oil goes in them?
I can't remember what I should fill the holes with. Any pointers for this fool?

lucas 90 weight gear oil pul both plugs out squeeze into one hole until it comes out of the other hole, if the oil that comes out looks dirty keep putting new oil in till the oil coming out looks clean.

I would strongly advise against using grease. One reason is you'll never be able to change it, the most important reason is grease collects dirt and sand and will stay in there, essetially making its way to the bearring. Sand+bearring= bad stuff, stick with gear oil, your pump will last longer.

What if you can't get the square head plug out. I tried to do this last weekend and only got one plug out. The square head is now a round head.

there are 2 different set ups, ussually if you have a grease zurk in the center of the bowl it is a grease bowl not an oil boat, even if the bowl has the pipe plugs its been converted. if the boal just has the plug in the center its just an oil bowl. there are bowls that are just grease bowls to they do not have pipe plugs on top at all.

Mine is an "F" and has 2 plastic plugs on the bowl. I also had a greasable deal added to the rear shaft bearing...what do I do?

Yep, Vice Grips. :D
Berks were designed to run GL-5 gear lube. I personally run 85/140 since it is what I keep arround.
