How anyone could respect this jerk is beyond me. I guess the only people who can are those that prefer to get their biased information spoon fed.
Don Hewitt, the legendary producer of "60 Minutes." "Any news organization, print or broadcast, has the right to protect its reputation by divesting itself of a reporter, irrespective of who he or she is, who it feels reported as fact something that reflected his or her biases more than the facts bear," he said in a NEWSWEEK interview. "And if the reporter聮s defense is that he or she had been 聭had,聮 isn聮t he or she someone a news organization worth its salt can no longer trust not to be 聭had聮 again."
I guess if you admire traits such as lying and 100% biased reporting, he is your man. How pathetic is it to see him desperately trying to get his name back in the lime light after tanking so badly.

Read a bit about his lawsuit and it's pretty much filled with statements directly contradictive to what Rather claimed during the forged document debacle. He's wearing his finger out pointing blame in all directions but his own.
Real piece of work he is........

Either he lied when he apologized or he is lying now. Either way, he is a liar.
If he felt so strongly about the story, he never would have apologized. He would have quit before doing that. Funny thing is, he waited so long to do this. Just another indication of his ego overriding his brains. His gig at HDNET is tanking and all this is just a pathetic attempt at getting his name back out there...at any cost.

Rather doesn't appear to like Bush(s) That should be more than enough for you guys to dislike him. Maybe the Senate should take a vote to formally denounce Rather. :2purples: :2purples:

No need...Rather already did that to himself for pretending to be unbiased and reporting known lies.
Now if we could just get the rest of the democrats to admit they are addicted to Soros and moveon's anti-American cash...

I dislike mega bazilionairs who buy a political party in order to enact his radical socialist left wing agenda.
Clearly, the democrats will never denounce him or moveon because they are hooked on the crack he is peddling...money.

I dislike the same from Oil, Drugs and big money individuals. The same could be said for the Republicans with regard to big business.
Don't you just love f'n politics?? :)

Big business doesn't give to democrats?
LMAO...if you believe that, you are dumb as a stump. You really don't have a clue what Soros stands for, do you? Or do you and you support it 100%?
Over the years, Soros has written books giving his philosophical take on global affairs and acquired a reputation as something of a "stateless statesman." He calls himself a philanthropist and has given away $5 billion of his now $8.5 billion fortune through his principal vehicle, the Open Society Institute. The institute, in turn, has passed cash on to far more radical groups, such as MoveOn.org.
But Soros is no hands-off donor. According to the Open Society Institute's Web site: "Despite the breadth of his endeavors, Soros is personally involved in planning and implementing many of the foundation network's projects."
Soros says he gives away about $400 million annually.
It's an admirable picture, but "philanthropy" may be the wrong word. Unlike, say, Bill Gates, who really does put the bulk of his charity into helping the world's poor through medical services, Soros tends to fund pressure groups and foundations he misleadingly characterizes as promoting "civil society" and "democracy."
The image gives him moral cover to manipulate democracies whose voter verdicts he opposes.
And since 2003, tearing down what he views as the "fascist" tyranny of the United States, as he has put it, is "the central focus of my life."
Through networks of nongovernmental organizations, Soros intends to ruin the presidency of George W. Bush "by any legal means necessary" and knock America off its global pedestal. "His view of America is so negative," says Sen. Joe Lieberman, who, like Gen. David Petraeus, has been a target of Soros' electoral "philanthropy." "The places he's put his money are . . . so destructive that it unsettles me." Soros' aim seems to be to make the U.S. just another client state easily controlled by the United Nations and other one-world groups where he has lots of friends

You are a walking talking brain dead puppet of the left. They just love useful idiots like yourself who refuse to use that empty space between your ears.
The Center for Responsive Politics calculates that in the 2004 elections Republicans got 66 per cent of the pharmaceutical industry's campaign donations, while Democrats got 34 per cent.

Nice deflection. The fact that you are an idiot doesn't detract from you ignoring the facts as they have been presented. The fact that you ignore the content and focus on my having fun with you pretty much sums it all up...
You have nothing to refute so you deflect.
The dumber you get, the more I will castigate..

At least nfe can use the APROPRIATE word from the English Language.
I have heard several interviews with dear Dan Rather since the '04 election.
He has ALWAYS stood his ground on the (ludicrous) view (of his) that the facts he reported are true, even tho he has no proof, and that the documents have NOT been sufficiently proven to be forgeries.
Now, he claims that he was merely a non-thinking reader of the teleprompter.
B.S. flag, a BIG one.
Lying sack of crap.
He hates his old boss almost as much as he does Bush tho, so he sues.
Hope he gets his arse handed to him.
