I don't think so, we just went this last weekend and I think that is the last one. Which totally sucks. How about you guys?

West Marine in LHC had them in stock, and also had a card for a guy who would powdercoat them in whatever color you wanted. If you don't want powdercoat, they had both galvinized and stainless steel.

Wouldn't the powdercoating just get jacked up?

The Box Anchor guy/owner (Ryan) actually moved out to Havi. You can go retail or maybe even get a hold of him somewhere.

Things keep going the way they are and you'll probably be able to find it soon... the lake is low. :(

I'm going back up the 6th and 7th for the Schiada Not A Regatta and then a few more times over the winter for the dirt toys.

A friend of ours found like 4 of them a week or two ago along with a couple of fluke style...also found that anchor and chain from the big cruiser that ended up breaking the windlass and cutting loose the chain. Over $1000 worth of anchors I'd say......gotta love it when the water is low :D

Maybe instead of the box anchor (which I have) try this one from Dana. If I had remebered they had one I wouldn't have bought mine at the OC boat show last year.

Go see him in Havasu. He will sell them for cash for less than he sells them to the dealers. I got a nice box anchor with the bag, and a slide anchor for $150 !! He's across from Conquest.

I have the Dana Jaws anchor as well, and works just as good, the only thing I don't like, is that the pin seems like it can fall off.

I have some box anchors and also a Dana anchor. The Dana anchor works as good as the medium box anchor and is safer and easier to set up then the box anchor. It doesn't hold as good as the large box anchor though.

I have the large anchor for my little boat and once it's in.....it's in. For some reason it seems to be a pain to set when I am trying to raft up to other people, any other time though, piece of cake and I even have chain on mine.

And his dealers who invest in inventory and "his" product trying to make a living really appreciate his support on that. And next time you see Ryan don't hesitate to tell him that Mike from Rex Marine sends his thanks.

You need to pull up past them, drop the anchor, and then drift back while letting out line. Tie it off when you are in position. That way you will have the scope required for the anchor to hold.

I just haven't mastered that one yet. More practice needed.

What he said!
I have the big one - on a 24' Deck boat, and it holds all the time. Just don't anticipate any drag and your good!

Rex, remember that if you read it on HB, it is not necessarily true.
