One of my co-workers just got rear ended on the 5 freeway. The lady who hit her bailed and took off. My Co-worker thinks she got the correct plate. I have all seven digits.
Anybody able to run it? Be known that she is currently waiting for CHP to shop up and take a report and chances are, it's going to be run again. Will another officer be able to see that a plate has already been run?

I say, let the cops do their job.
I know that ain't much, but what would you do with the info besides get yourself into trouble.

I agree with you but knowing that this wouldn't really come through, I did have the last question which the story set up.

It seems to me if there is a hold on a plate or D/L, and the LEO that runs it fails to enforce that hold, they could get in deep doo doo. At least that is what I was told by a friend in the NJSP, a few years ago.
