Coming from someone in Ag, I am betting that the owner is just glad that the operator had the common sense to get the thing out of the field and into open ground before abandoning ship. I hope the owner has insurance. 300K minimum for new. Those are not optional acessorys like a boat.

I would guess the discharge Chute got plugged with stalks and leaves,etc..belts slipping building heat , and oh chit fire !!!!
same thing can happen on a round hay Bailer if the operator isn't paying attention...;)
