Bostic was king of the river this weekend. Everybody was running great. Steve has one good running boat. Wes Wise in the placecraft is always a contender and has quite the reputation on the river. Chris Owens was doing test & tune and looked real good. All the races were close and fun to watch. It was a great weekend.

I had given a call to my father. He was out at Martinez this weekend.
He told me he met up with a 509 guys in the bar and we're some really cool drunk guys. Boat ran 9.0 in the 1/4 or somethin?
But then he had told me some guy called his gf a bitch and he was about to whoop some ass:devil:

Just what I heard. thats impressive if he left on the 509 that hard from a 25mph roll, the 509 boat is quick.

I wasn't there and I didn't talk to Wes today I'll give him a buzz tomorrow, but I was told the 509 left him twice from a dig in all fairness.
(Man I could have really stired the pot on this one) But no need.

So there's no confusion, stirring the pot (sleeper CP), or second guessing, I'm the guy that owns the Blue/White Placecraft racing the 509. The 509 boat was cool enough to race me (a few times) from a rolling start, not just a dig. With a flop over rolling start its a great race. Whoever hit the gas first usually stayed there. From a dig, the 509 whooped my ass. It wasn't even a race from a dig, he would put AT LEAST 4-5 boats on me before I could get set and hit the gas (not enough hands to work the jet-o-vator, NOS, and steering wheel). My boat is on the bottle and he is running just the motor. In my opinion the 509 was the most impressive boat down there, no juice and to run the numbers he does is impressive.
Even though there was a low boat turn-out it was a great weekend w/ a really good group of guys to race around with. No egos just lots of fun.
By the way, Great pics Becker I'll be calling you for some prints....How did you photo shop me adjusting my sunglasses ???????

Thunder-pumpkin is there a story behind that?
Wes, sounds like your ski-boat was running good. The intake grate got broken, but is the intake okay. You said you were taking on water did anything else break or did it just blow out the gasket?
I'm trying to figure out if I want to take the kids down this weekend or go down it two weeks and then again at the end of the month for the last trip of the year. When are you going down again?

Wes we were there last year and your boat ran hard then also. I even metioned to Vic and a few others that where their how impressed i was with it speciallly for a N/A deal. I wish we could have made it to this last deal but we were in Blythe celebrating a few B Days and going to the races at the fairgrounds. All the people were as down to earth as you can get last time we were their i only hope the crowd was the same this year . Hope to see you guys next year and party with everyone again. Glad to see the 509 keepin it the way they roll NUTTTTTTY.

I didn't photoshop your hand by the way. I guess you didn't notice yourself doing it but, every run I got a couple of pics of you holding your sunglasses on. Thanks again guys for a very fun weekend. We need a couple more of these type of weekends each year.

Danny...thanks for the good words. Its a fun little ski boat. I built the boat 11 years ago and keeps puttin a smile on the face every time I take it out. Someones got to keep representing the old Placecraft....
We definately missed you and your group of guys this year. Last year was epic and all your boats ran extremely hard. That was one of the best river trips I ever had. Hopefully next season we can do a little better job of getting the everyone down at the same spot again.
Moneysucker, start making the stickers "Yuma Power Tour 08"
