This was a great weekend. The Poker Run was one of the best in a long time. The weather was great, great people, good food & the band was awsome, I think we got about 5 hours sleep all weekend...:D

I ran with them from Catalina to Newport. In Elsinore they ran 115, in big blue they were what looked like cruisin with ease at 100 no chine walk and no excessie bow lift.. Looked like a fun ride....

Good to finally meet some of you guys in person! What an awesome weekend! The run to the Island was the stuff you dream about! We made it in 26 minutes (including stoping to check on someone who broke). I hear Jay and crew did it in 16 minutes.
I was also glad I got to see the old Pennzoil/Larry Smith run... One of my favorites! Probably one of my favorite boats on the run.

Reason I'm asking is the heli was flying off our starboard like normal shooting vid/pics and then fell in behind us for a loooooong time shooting some cool video I assume with the casino in the background as we were arriving. Just thought the angle was a little different and wanted to know where to find the video footage. I know there were 4 heli's shooting video & stills. Our boats in my avatar. Thanks.

The dark blue helicopter was a private guy named Jon Roth.He was following predator.No video or photos were taken.
So apparently while shooting he doesn't keep his VHF radio on. :D Our ferry had to turn to help a "sinking" Cig and him and the copter went RIGHT by it. It's ok though. Good to know the big boat will help out when needed.
