I am looking for a replacement for the Corvette and have considered a TBSS. However, I am curious as to how well it would tow/launch a boat. The boat would be in the 25-28' range with a closed box. Nordic Rage or Nordic Heat with closed box. I know the LS2 has plenty of power, but it is the short wheelbase that has me wondering. What do you all think?

AWD shouldn't be too much of a problem launching it, but that is a pretty big boat for a trailblazer.

Ivan Dan here on the board has a 07 AWD. Tows his 26' Daytona around town and to the ramp with no issues.
I don't think I would use it as my primary long distance tow vehicle. Pretty sure there limited to 5000lbs +/-

We had one and I would not recommend it for anything....and I am an old school Chevy guy. Read the TBSS forums.

We have one and like it pretty good, I tow a 19' cheyenne, however, I don't know that I would be comfortable towing a boat the size you are talking about. They have tons of power, but the short wheelbase makes them a little twitchy when towing.

The wheelbase is what has me concerned. I think that it might me too short for a 25-28' boat. However, I still like them and might would still give it a try.

We went through three complete rear ends, four new window seals, new fog lamp supports and new air bags. My wife drove it and she was just not happy… so we sold it. I loved to drive the thing….it was a blast. The tow rating is not real high (we did not tow with it) and with all the rear end issues I wouldn’t recommend it as a tow vehicle. If you read the TB forums you’ll see that these are common problems wit this ‘SS” model.
