I just picked up this boat and was wondering if anybody else might have one to compare info. i also am in search of a chevy big block for it.I heard the original builder of this boat just passed away .I wonder how many were built.I also heard this boat made some appearances in some old hot rod magazines. The boat is in excelent shape . I would really like to find some original pictures of this boat.

Hi Movinon - you might want to post this in the V-drive section, as there are many Rayson Craft 'experts' in that section. Also, if you are in the PNW(Pacific North West), check in with Frank DeFir out of Portland. He has several of the Rayson Craft molds. I've talked to him over the phone before. Nice guy and no attitude, which is a relief in this industry. (I can say the same for Carson Brummett out of Brummett Marine - really cool guy and helpful). Hope that this helps. Name of your builder that passed away, Rudy Ramos - a legend among the GN racing crowd. Also build one hell of a ski racing boat (21') that was used extensively on the circuit back in the 80's.:) :)

Good advise from SGettman!
It is Rayson craft not racing craft. Rudy Ramos with his dad Ray Ramos started building boats in the 50's.
Rayson came from Ray and Son= Rayson. Rudy told me that personally.
Good boats for circle racing or pleasure.
