I know its gonna go about 68mph and probably no more than that!!!
I think I met this guy in Havi!
My gel is very similar and we have crossed paths!
Very pretty boat!
The only thing is the black going through the checks IMO, however still a pretty boat!

Find someone, like a LEO to run the numbers... You should be safe, that is a "pre-Johnnie" boat...

If I recall properly, I have seen that boat around quite a bit. The boat used to be up at Mojave quite a bit. The boat used to be all white and then they had the boat painted and the interior done to match the checkers. Don't know much about the mechanics of the boat at all, but it is a '94 and it had been run hard on Mojave. Just be sure to check the boat out 100% and make sure that the glass is still in good condition. Mojave beats the crap out of boats.
Definitely not trying to talk you out of it. The Danas are great boats, just be careful.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm not sure what you mean by LEO and "pre-johnnie". I am new here.

LEO=Law Enforcement Officer.... Johnnie ____ leased the molds from Dana then hit the wrong side of the law and spent a little time ducking turd bandits in the big house.
If you PM me the VIN's I'll check somethings for you...

Isn't that the same (or similar) to the Raysoncraft hull? Very low profile boat.

RRX, it's the exact same boat as a Rayson. I expect that the Dana's are laid up quite a bit better then the Rayson Crafts though.
To disagree with Nord, I think that boat should run way better then 68 mph with a 502 and a procharger on it. I'd say 75 is probably pretty accurate on the top end #.. Maybe even a hair or two better if you spent the time on a labbed prop etc.. That boat is supposedly one of the fastest non stepped V's out there right now.
Definately look it over though as BB572 pointed out if it's been run through the ringer I think I'd pass, if not though.. My only hold up on the deal if it were me would be the procharger. I'd rather have a stock merc deal and be slower then a low boost blower on a stock application. I wonder about the longevity of the motor.

That boat belonged to a friend of mine named "BEAR". The boat was HAMMERED after "BEAR" sold it for $25,000.00, four years ago. The X on this boat is WAY low and I doubt the boat would ride over 65 MPH.
This is a DO NOT BUY!!! IMHO!

I hope this boat doesn't belong to "Flake" or I'll be getting a note from "a" Moderator telling me not to be so "rough".. :rollside:

Wow! Could you expain what the X being low is. I've always been a drag racer and wanting to get on the water now so some of this is new.

x dimension is the vertical distance the propshaft is below the bottom of the boat. The deeper is better for out of the hole. Higher puts less outdrive in the water which reduces drag and increases top end.

Why not a shorty drive?

I'm sceptical...all the lights on the trailer are punched out, easy to fix, but why?? Also, engine compartment is filthy....looks like someone cleaned something up fast..and lastly, the naugahide is filthy also...someone has not taken care of the thing well...seems underpriced for the boat and the motor...502 with a procharger?? Seems a bit cheap...I would have someone go through it with a fine tooth comb before signing anything bro....just my .02.....good luck....
