Been looking at the C class Mercedes, Acura TL, and maybe the G60 Volvo. Anybody have any preferences or does anyone have one of them that they either hate or love? And does anyone have a hookup on any of them?

I'm slightly partial to BMW's and Saab's..........and I have a hookup for those :D
honestly, those are all very good cars, you wouldn't regret purchasing any of those cars....
What I don't know is if those come with Free maintenance? ;)

My wife loves her Lexus GS300...no problems with it at all ! I'm looking at upgrading (?) to the Mercedes E Class, or the BMW 5 Series.

What cha got on a new 5 series with all the goodies? Wanted a 7 but will be satisfied with a 5, unless I can get a 7 for the price of a 5. :D

Not much right now....06 5 series inventories are next to nothing...we're waiting for the 07's to arrive.
I got one white 530i left with NAV. and a basic no leather 525i.....90% of my incoming 5's are presold. BMW really put us in a lurch this year.

I'd like to sell you Nancy's LS430 but she won't part with it. I want her to get the new 460 but she says no way. She's had 3 Lexus (Lexi?) and they are absolutely trouble free. For myself, I'm looking as the GS series...

I'm kinda leaning towards the TL because my 6'2 14 yr old daughter would fit in the back seat. She wouldn't fit in the C class but my wife said that she doesn't care all that much, that is what the truck is for. Have not driven the Saab yet but we will. How much leg room in the back seats of the Saab?

Wow, your daughter is tall like mine. The 9-5 model is probably the roomiest sedan, then we have the 9-7x SUV which has more rear leg room.

Ziggy: thanks for the info. With tall kids it kinda limits the options, my 18 yr old girl is 5'11". We are kinda use to all the stares but it does get a little old. If your kids are tall then you know what I'm talking about.

What about a 72 124 fiat spyder with the bigger of 2 motors in it???? It will be going up for sale really soon. I have so many spare parts you will never need to goto a parts store for it.

You're welcome.......take your time shopping and sitting in every car you are considering, make sure you get what fits all your needs and preferences. Lots of good cars on the market, it gets down to small details that sway people one way or another.
My daughter is 12 and stands somewhere around 5'9" or so...she appears older than she really is...scary.

My wife has been driving a C230k sedan for a little over 2 years now. 30k miles and still drives like new. It has gone into the dealership for minor non maintenance items twice, and everything was covered under warranty. Even though it's the cheap Benz, it still drives nice and is finished off fairly well for the price.
The Japanese cars will probably give you better reliability, but personally I prefer European cays. I think that all of the cars you are considering are nice, it just depends on what you like the best.

I know Ziggy can take great care of you with the BMW/SAAB connection, and will do you right.
On the other hand, if your looking for a Mercedes-Benz, I may be able to help. :p

If I were looking at Car's for the wife, she would want utility and sport....I would really look at the Grand Cherokee SRT8.....0-6 in 5 sec, 40K base (not a lot of options on the SRT8's), stock w/20's, dropped stock, and 425hp in an SUV that handles like a Sports Car....coming back from the riv, had one roll up on me and it looks and sounded sick..

My wife has an '06 Acura TL. I've driven it just a few times but it seems like a great car. She likes it 'cause it hauls azz. :D

How about a VW Toureg. My friends have one for the river and it works great. He's got a Bad Back, so his seat is always reclined and his kid still has plenty of room.

I work for an Automotive Media/Publishing company. As part of our relationships, the manufacturers give us cars as a trade for advertising. I would stay away from the Saab. Every one we have ever had fell apart. The electronic "brains" would always jack up.
I am driving a Volvo S60 R right now. I love the car. I had an S80 Premier and loved it as well. You can get a fully loaded one of these for far less than the BMW or Mercedes and you won't have the same car as about half of California. I would also check out the new Lexus IS... it is hot and Toyota quality/residual value can't be beat.
