Well after tracing down the boat, the "Eye of the Tiger" is back in our position. After many hours of work, the boat is ready for testing next weekend. So what ddo you guys think?

Tommy used to talk about this boat all the time. There used to be a pic of it behind where he sat but i cant remember who had sighned it with thanks to Tom Papp. Definatly some history in that boat and i was told that it hauled the mail back in the day with mild HP.

Yeah there is lots of history behind this Boat. My grandfather kicked alot of A$$ with this boat. Yes, this is one of tommy's hulls. Thisboat has gone through 2 different owners after us and now we have it back. I was way stoked about the Scoop!. I have been trying to get this scoop from my Grandma for a while now. She would not give it to us. She said she wouldnt give it to anyone because when she gave away the elminator that the scoop was on, the kid who bought it crashed it and died:( when my brother and i brought the boat straight to their house (grandparents) they were so excited and she went and grabed the scoop for us. It was awsome. we are so excited to get it in the water.

We raced Johnnie's "Eye Of The Tiger"several times.Dennis (the menace) Serber built the motors and Tommy built the boat and did all the hardware. It was always a hard runner.

Did you get it wet last weekend?

Tommy would be proud ... glad to see you guys get it back. Dennis is still around, Tommy did all of the work, unfortunately he isn't here to see your family get it back ... Your father and grandfather should be able to give us accurate numbers as far as et's and mph's ... Tommy had told me about the boat and how hard it ran. It was one of his favorites.
Danny is right, there is a picture floating around of the boat, probably still at the shop in the office or with Tommy's Mom.
Good luck, congrats, have fun.

Unfortunately the boat has not been wet yet. I will get a hold of my Grandmother and ask what the et and mph was on this boat. Then after this weekend I will post mph as it sits now. I dont think this boat is heading to the races, it will be a river racer. Tommy would have been way proud and even more proud at the other boat we just got done building! (white with red flames)

Nice job boys! I sure hope you didn`t let your dad help you. You should steal the motor out of the white and red one and don`t tell daddy;) . Seriously J Nice job and to the 2 younger boys Ryan & Johhny nice job I know you have been working your a$$ of on all of these 3 boats too. Not to mention Joes boat. Harris racing should be a power house team on and off the track. Can`t wait to see you guys at the river

Wow Scott way to go, but the 537# will cost you if you want it.
I guess all your buddies are in trouble now. Are you thinking about taking it to the track or just river boat?

Yes if you look at it at an angle you can see all the old lettering, He even thanked his wife on the back of the transom. Scott didn`t mean to steal your thunder you can tell them whats under the deck

hey mike...did shoe raze you about the number we had a good laugh and i told him i would have to cut out the bulkhead with the 537 on in and give to you.
i had to spend the money i was saving for a engine but iu think it was worth it for a little piece of some racing history.
i dont know if all be able to keep up with all you players but im gonna have some fun and raise some hell. i would love to get to the track next season and see what i could do.
