Lets see how quick this turns to how vicious english bulldogs are...:D
I am seriously considering another bulldog. My Ex took my baby and although I know she is in good hands I miss her, the dog that is.
I want a puppy and was looking at a couple of breeders.
Has anyone ever had any experience with either of these or know of a reputable breeder in the Socal area?

I have a male and a female that I bought thru private parties. You may want to contact ultra28 here on the boards, he has some good looking Bulldogs that I think he bought from a breeder in socal. You should also call Dr. Butchko, he is a vet who specializes in Bulldogs. His office is in Riverside.

My sister has two right now but her first one died of cancer at a ripe old age of 4. Be sure you get a VERY reputable breeder because over breeding can cause serious health issues.

I have one, Jake. He's now 11yrs old, and came from a breeder in Texas that I believe no longer is in business. You can see Jake in my avatar.

Google DK bulldogs, you'll see why that's the only breeder I'll buy from. DK has one the best reputations in the world for his quality dogs. Between myself, my friends and customers (along with many people here on the forums) we have bought over twenty pups from DK. Dr. Butchco in Riverside is the best vet for bulldogs. Don't forget to get him a skateboard.

My wife and I have talked to the guys that owns Big Bulldogs. He is a super cool guy and really cares about the animals.
We have friends the have a pregnant female in the Corona Valley area. I believe they are going to be selling the puppies.

In the last 10 years I have rescued 3 boxers from Ursula at BRLA and an English Bulldog from a guy name Paul Carlos (not sure of his affiliations). My ex wife now has the bulldog and is taking great care of her. I loved that dog and her personality. She was awesome and I want another.
I agree with your comments about rescues, see above and I have searched for a rescue bully but honestly what I have been seeing ticks me off. I could get a passport and visa to Iraq easier than a bulldog from a rescue. My dogs, I have 2 boxers, have the best life possible, period. I am single, and my dogs do spend a lot of time at home alone and rescues tend to freak out on that. They stay at home in my garage which is set up to accommodate them. They have beds, toys, food, water, music, etc. When I get home we go out and play. That has been an issue for the rescues I have dealt with as my dogs are unsupervised while I am at work. What can I do?

Had several of them when in the Marines.
Excellent dogs.
Canine Brindle stripes dates back to them.
And, believe it or not, they have a herding instinct gene too.
Remarkable dogs.
Never heard of, saw or had any feeling they'd ever be mean,, except to Coyotes.

Damn it... now i want a bulldog.... damn you cute dogs!!!! Damn you!!!!
Seriously though. Rescue can be tough and alot of rescuers can be a little fenatical as they see alot of abuse to animals. If you have tried to rescue and they just are not flexable enough to work with you then so be it.
Some people arent aware there are such things as rescues so i like to bring it up. Good luck with the pups. I love english bulldogs.. I just dont have the 1000 bucks they cost... but damn they are cute.

Exactly, I have never been turned down before when I wanted to adopt but I have asked a lot of questions to test the waters and they say the same thing. The dogs need to be supervised. I agree, to a point, but hey, I have to work and that pretty much ends the conversation between us.

Here is a link to some pictures of our bulldog "Bella". We got her from TJ's Bulldogs near Seattle. I have owned many dogs over the past 20 years. Bella is by far the best dog I have ever owned. Running in a close second is my 9 yeard old pitbull "Gabby"!

They are under the "Bella" tab.

We use Natures Balance Sweet potato and fish formula dog food and it has almost completely eliminated the nast dog farts. She still burps though and I get a good laugh every time she does!

We have a beautiful girl named Lady. She is by far the best dog we have ever owned. Would never hurt a fly. We actually show bulldogs on the circuit. Try to look for people who are currently showing their dogs, and have CURRENT champions, not ones 2 or 3 dogs back in the genetics. Be very careful, as this is a dog prone to all sorts of health problems. Also, when you are checking out a place, listen to your gut. If there are too many dogs, if the place is unclean, if the bully's are too hyper, then walk away. This breed is very popular for puppy mills. I know here is Phoenix, you couldn't get one for less than $1500, and thats during the slow times. They go up to $4000. We have seen so many puppy mills with this breed. Also, don't plan on breeding yourself. They have to be inseminated, and then over 90% of them have to have C-sections, which is dangerous since their short airway does not like anesthesia. Anyways, Good luck.:)
