I would buy a happy medium quality tire. Your going to have to replace them every 2 years no matter what anyways, so don't go expensive.

Tow masters have worked out good for my trailer. Watch out for the Carlisles. Plenty of peeps here shared they have had negative experiences with them.

Just had the stupid low profile tires replaced with actual trailer tires, Tow Masters, in havasu at discount. They should last 3 yrs and not fall apart like car tire.

I would be included in that group. 3 tires on one trip. They seem to have something against 150 degree asphalt. Even at 11:00 at night. :rolleyes:

Discount/Americas tire same company.
Get the X-10-DED warranty.
Buy Greenball: AKA "tow master", "tow hauler" ect ect.
E load rating if they offer it in your size.
Lean on them to give you a better than quoted price.
Always re-check the tire pressure.
It's low pressure that usually kills trailer tires.

Doesn't matter if its stored indoors or outdoors. I have had my boat for almost 10 years and it is stored only indoors. Same scenario.

I have tried several types of auto tires for my 235,75.14 trailer and have had nothing but constant blow out and valve stem problems. this past year I purchased some goodyear marathons trailer tires, they have 2 ply side wall that will help with valve stems being cut and a better load rating for heat breaking down the tread or side wall. I feel like so far these are the best tires I have had and am hoping for 2 -3 years, we will see.

I just saw this tire at the offroad expo. I'm not sure of the price but I'm due for a set of tires on my car hauler and I'm going to check this one out.

My last set of marathon's lasted me 8 years mostly parked outside only got a garage the last few years

Check out Maxxis. A guy in needles referred them to me. He said they are best for dealing with the heat. Also said to never exceed 70 mph as that heats them up too much, and just change them every 3 years or so. Good luck. Seems like this thread comes up every couple of months....

I Agree Stay Away From Carlisle I Swapped Mine For Goodyear Marathons Have Not Had A Problem Since A Little Pricey But Worth The Extra Dough

Greenball Towmasters work great, and are not expensive at all. Like already stated, stay away from Carlisle.
