I have not looked at the title in a while but I think it just says wagon. I dont think this was a nomad.

You sure it isn't a '70? The front end is the '70 quad headlight. In '71 they went to the dual headlight (single on each side).
By the way it's a nice ride. If I didn't have the boat and had so much money in the Elky, I'd be thinking about buying it. I think it would be a nice match for my kids ride.
This is my kids '71 Elky (which is how I know)

Yea its a 1971. The front end was taken from a 70. It would look good with the Elky. Thanks for the compliments

Any rust that you are aware of? Windshield area? Floor pans?
Do you drive it daily?
Would you drive it to CA?
I might be wanting to fly out there and take a look.

Nice ride Mitch - Plenty of room for chicks and beer:) Did you ever find that 19' PC for me??

PLACECRAFT20

I have owned the car for 5 or 6 years and only driven it around town. I dont think I would drive it to Cali. It has 3:73 gears and a turbo 400 so it is wound up pretty good at 60 or 65. I just have not driven this thing on the road much so I cant say if it would make it to cali or not. It has the big radiator, new water pump and new cam shaft with lifters and chain and runs real good but that is a long way.
I think a previosly repared rust spot may be showing around the windshield and I believe the floor pan was replaced by the original owner. I have the car in storage and will be glad to go look at it while you are on the phone with me. PM me your number and I will give you a call.
CCcando I have not found the Placecraft. I drove by the place it originally was sitting and it was gone. Let me make a phone call or two. I hope all is well in Big D. I will call you if I find it.

Fair enough. I appreciate your honesty.
I'll roll it around for a few days.
The thing about asking if you would drive it to Cali was more toward if it was roadworthy enough that you would trust it. Some cars are ones you would say "oh, I drive it here and there" and other one would say "I'd drive this anywhere". Just checking how much of a reliable driver it was.
Let me think on it. I'll get back to you in a few days or less.

No problem. I think it would make a good daily driver in my town but we only have about 80,000 people. I dont know how it would stand up in the traffic you guys have. I just dont have that kind of experience on the long halls with this car. I just wanted to be honest.

And that's what I was looking for. When I look at a car, I just want to know what I will be wanting to replace after I purchase it - so I can try to deal accordingly.
Around here, we usually end up with an aluminum radiator and electric fans to idle in traffic with the AC on.
Also, the TH400 would be replaced with a 700R4 for driveability.

Man would I get some strange looks from the parents
