Well, I had the motor sold at $3K more than I am asking for it now, but the buyer stopped his project and left me with the motor. :( I have no use for it so someone please use it!
This motor is flawless. The motor has 1 hour of dyno time since it was torn completely down, checked out, and rebuilt. Motor maybe has 30-40 hours on it TOTAL. It has all of the best parts in it.
World Industries block
Dart Pro 1 polished CNC Heads
The Blower Shop 10-71 Blower
MSD 6M Ignition
Super Chiller
Two Gary Williams Dominators
Billet Crank
ARP fasteners
Etc.
Motor put out 989h.p. on 6.5lbs of boost on pump gas. The motor is way over built for where it was running. A duplicate motor on Race Gas put out well over 1200h.p. and there was still room to go. There are no issues with this motor and it starts, idles, runs, perfectly. I can produce dyno sheets and the new owner is welcome to have their mechanic check it out prior to sealing the deal. Once your mechanic checks it out, that is where the warranty stops. I am 100% confident in this motor or I would not be selling it. As with anything high performance, there is NO WARRANTY what so ever once your mechanic gives it the green light.
You get the motor complete marine (less headers & motor mounts). Everything else is there and is ready to drop it in the boat. This would be a great re-power or something for a new boat awaiting production. It is setup for a Bravo style outdrive. You get the coupler, bellhousing, raw water pump, starter, alternator, intercooler, spark arrestor, MSD system, etc...
If you have any questions, please give me a call at 714-313-8757.
No need to B.S. on price. Hand me $16K and take it away. That is where you need to be for this motor. Parts alone would cost way in excess! If you go to one of the local "custom" builders (Pfaff, GT, Teague, etc...), you are looking between $40-50K for a motor like this. Trust me, no dissapointments here!

this would be going in the Schiada instead of a 383! Good luck with the sale at a great price.:)

I am sure this is a dumb question, but what is the blue box mounted next to the blower?? Fuel distribution block? Its hard for me to tell.

Don't get me wrong because this is an extremely nice motor and if I had 16K available it would be in my garage today, however, I can't see 50K to purchase similar.

Call up any well known engine builder and ask them how much to build that motor with those parts and you might be surprised what they charge. :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

The blue box by the side of the blower is a power steering reserve tank. With an I/O and full hydraulic steering, you will move quite a bit of fluid. It also has a tendancy to get aerated. With the reserve tank, the cap is welded to the top of the P/S pump so it won't blow over. It just pushes all of the fluid into the reserve tank.

Last time I checked, Teague was charging $48K for his 565cid TCM 1000. If you want to really get up in the prices, check out Stelling! They charge a fortune. In todays high performance applications, $50k is not out of the ballpark for a well built 1,000 h.p. motor. Just think, some of the new twin turbo EFI motors are going for $65K and up.

WOW this thing is still not in a boat... Why not keep it and put it in one oof your new custom boats and charge double for the motor and have a still super stoked new owner... This would be beautiful in one of your new boats with a silver and Blue gel scheme...
