They are great boats. Full stringers, sound and quality construction, and some of my favorite factory Gel Coat color schemes.

You mean Miller hulls are now an investment? That's great news! I know my '75 seems to be really solid, even though some jerks in the past have done some hole drilling where they shouldn't have. i.e. Motor mount holes at several angles. Tri-hull type cleats both front and back, both sides, the front ones had been removed. A hole in the dash for a radio that is no longer there. There's no way to fill and make it look original but where I have tested the gel coat, I color sanded with some 600 wet/dry and then hand buffed with rubbing compound and it came back almost new. The bright white has turned to an off white or cream color.

My friend blew the side and ripped a big section out of the bottom of a 78 a few months ago. Seemed to be a solid boat, just hit a roller wrong and busted it. Its final resting place is the Orange County dump in Brea :(

I love my Miller and it has been by far the best riding, planing, overall performing Jet boat I have riddin in thus far. I wouldn't sell or trade it for anything.

I really like Miller's. We had three in the family at one time, now down to two, both 20's. One is black with blues and the other is off white with reds. Both boats are in great shape and we will always keep them around. Great riding, good running fun to drive boats, I'll be putting mine back together over the winter, new interior and wood work all redesigned, gauges, carpet, Bimini, and cover, complete rebuild on the trailer, & stereo, it's almost done.
BTW all three of our trailers float and we love it! You put the boat over the top of the trailer and the trailer just centers itself up against the boat, no need to fight with it, hook the bow and drive away.
One more thing someone asked about the company and whether they where still around.

You must know the story, post up  . I only know that they split, and I have spoken with the brother in Santa Maria (his son actually) and they have what seams to be everything to make the original boats, and their new 23' evolution.

You can go read it for yourself. I gave you the link to John Miller's web site. Why is it there's always someone wanting to pick an argument. John IS also a son, he's more into the restoration of the ORIGINAL Miller Boats! I have spoken with John as well. No mention of a split but then I didn't get into the family life with him.

Always been a standing joke re the trailers the majority (trailers) were made by a Santa Maria "local" welder and were "box rails" (thus the "float") along with the cool "glass" fenders , Rhonda and I bought one of these new in 1976 (see pics) we bought it back, when it came in for pump work 30 years later (sold in 78 with a child on the way) restored it and sold it again.(check the Elvis side burns) One pic is me 76 the other is son. Josh 30 years later (same boat) re John Miller in Nipomo Ca ,he is a good friend of JBP and regularly does resto work with us. Jim Miller and son are a seperate entity,Miller boats is about 10 miles away in Santa Maria) weve worked with them as well ... more Miller trivia to follow(were building a Blown 18 bubble deck now) but I'm working from my LT (my desk top crashed this AM) Tom

Sorry Baja. I guess it's just the way I read it. You know how these things can get misunderstood. No problems here. I have a '75 Miller and it needs work and I'm really enjoying it. At least these engines I can work on. Now, my Ford Explorer, you open the hood and wonder where the plug wires disappear to. I didn't know there was another Miller and the brothers split. I'm not really into the new boats since in the first place I think they are way over priced for a lot of bling. I only got to take mine out one time after buying it and that time the #1 rod decided to let go. It was cracked long before I got the boat. So I did a lot of question asking and searching and came up with John Miller's web site. I knwo the short trip I did get to run, the boat seems to ride like a dream. Even with the sick engine it came up on plane just so nice and easy and rode the small, 1 foot boat wakes like it had shocks under it. Smoooooth!!!! ;) So, now that we are both happy Miller drivers/owners, we're back on track.

Sounds to me like we Miller owners have an investment property that appreciates. Kind of like old cars? I remember when a Corvair, you couldn't give them away and now a BAD one gets $5000.00 for those who decided to collect and restore them. Look at the Edsel, same thing.. Now the Old Millers are going to be worth more than a new Miller with all the bling on it. :)
