Fiat48 went & looked at the boat a few months ago. Said it was done & he wanted to kick his arse for leaving it out to rot.

You know if the guy would sell it for what its worth, not a Fairy tell price somebody might drag it home.

The sad part is, even if the boat was "free", someone would have a fortune in it by the time it was done.

I was looking at it, thinking it might make a good project. However, how bad is bad? What would be the major concerns if I were to take on such a project?

Some folks feel obligated and would pay. I think that is what this seller is looking for.

When you do the math 5100 bucks for a cole that needs some work is not too much $ especially when you can do the glass and paintwork in your own shop @ home, I'm getting the Lenco Clutch also. Now price a new hull for 9500$ plus rigging another 10k give or take, build a trailer 3k.. I'll spend the 5100 plus a little elbow grease to go have fun at the lake..

Saw the boat headed south on I-5 around Colinga yesterday. Lets see some pictures of the "delamination".

A couple very small areas on the inside of the transom above the steering quadrant, basically resin has peeled off on the wood transom, not anywhere near any stress or structual joints, I'm figuring a weekend of work to remove the hardware and fix it. The person who originally owned this boat spent a crapload of time building it and did a very nice job rigging it, the trailer although has white spokes at this time had a lot of detail fab work done to it. I find it a shame that it has been left out in the element but now will reside in air conditioned comfort inside my garage. I will get some pic's on here soon.

I'm not to sure he has a place here in Parker in the Keys, When he's not here he lives in the northern part of the valley, near Cole's old shop. He has a lot of cool story about Cole's and Hondo's I will get some more info for you.
