My torquer 2.0 is like nothing I have ever seen before. The carb is doesn't sit straight, edelbrock twisted the mount about 20 degrees. My bro said it was an intake that was originally intended for circle track racers. Is he right?

I believe Edelbrock did that to make the runners closer to the same length. We've ran a couple of these on our drag cars under a toilet bowl injector and they work pretty good, but not sure how they would work with a carb running air and fuel, unlike the injection, running only air and injecting the alky 1" from the head.

In my old jet (1972 avenger, heavy boat) I ran one of these manifolds on my 468 Chevy, large oval heads ported, 13.5:1, Holley 850, trued bottom, blue printed Berkeley pump. Boat ran 88mph on radar, and 100mph on a 50nos shot. always ran very clean no loading up or problems with the manifold.

My dad ran a torker2 on his v-drive for 18 yaers without a single problem. I am now going to run one myself. As far as the carb mount I think it makes us unique.

BJ, my vintage 72 spectra has the Edelbrock TR2 intake [most LS-6's came with that setup in the early seventies in the california boats]with the 800 Holley DP carb.JetJunk's explanation is right about runner lenght .Works great !
