NOT counting a boat payment.
Add it all up
Gas
repairs
service
If you tow, fuel to and from
insurance
storage
toys for the boat
the list seems endless
I'm over 25 grand:(
Like I always say, I didn't buy a boat thinking I was gonna save money:D

Service was not too bad, just the usual annual, but fuel... it's ugly. Rather not tally.

Do I need to include the truck I had to buy to pull the boat?
These threads always make me sick. When you add it all up, I start to get an empty feeling throughout my body.

Annual service: $315.
Gas: 3 tank fulls at about $145 each. (6 gph fuel burn))
Enclosed storage: $1250 for the year.
Tow to and from the river twice: $500
Does a new wakeboard for Maynard count?
Any we bought a new boat at $50k.

I"d say a new wakeboard for Maynard counts. That's what I mean, if we didn't have boats, how much money would we NOT have spent:D
I'm surprised you didn't get out more TPC. I'm sure your nationwide tour put a wrench in the spokes.

I really don't know how much I spent this summer. I just know that I can afford it and even if it cost me a million I wouldn't care. The look on my sons face and what a great time plus great memories my family had make it all worth it.
On boat gas alone I'm sure it was alot. I don't want to begin to think about all the other crap that comes along with it.:D Alcohol alone probably set me back a few years;)

LOL, I didn't even add the alcohol. I'm a little skeered to even think about it. We usually provide all the libations. I know, I know.:D

at first I thought those numbers were crazy but then after thinking about its at least $700-$1000 per weekend including everything, food, camping/ hotel gas, beer, ice, food, maintenance plus I bought a new truck to tow the boat and I know I went at least 6 weekends wow that adds up quick i need a new job or not drive a jet boat

Well, I did not include fuel or anything for the trips. Just boat expenditures.
Knew the Miller would not be done by spring, so bought the 73' Eliminator from King.
Engine for Miller, w/ Brodix everything.
Re-plumbed fuel and water in Miller.
I clicked 14K-20K
Maybe 10 total hours under power in both boats combined.
Still, beats spending it on crack!
Tommy
PS- One day at the lake is priceless anyway, to me.

Ah shit, I just did somethings really STUPID............................................ ..........
..........Add your total cost this year and divide that by the hours actually using the boat (cruising, beached, racing, don't matter)
I can only laugh :D and look for a second job

Don't forget house payments, insurance, bills, booze in addition to the boating costs. Every time I fill up the 21 is $500 to $600 the 27is about $400 the truck is about $150 round trip each time. The only malfunction this year has a stearing ram. I also bought the 21 for this summer...plus redoing it this winter...this summer cost me way more than I thought but it was a blast :D

service was more than a down payment on my truck...
launch fees were about even with my bar tab one nite...
all PRICELESS! :D :D :D

Does building an RV garage count?
Even without that I had to click the $20k+. Savage probably got half of that, All Seasons the other half. I'm not even going to add in the gas, food, Powell trips, ay yai yai
But, it's what we do. We boat and we boat well. :D :D :D

Boat gas...$850 including 1 trip to havasu and 20 trips to local lakes
Truck gas including trip to Havasu from Boise appx $700
2 stroke oil...$60
1 lower unit oil change $10 bucks
I guess if you are daddy warbucks it doesn't matter.
But, if you are over extended beyond belief and I'm passing your $100k big block guzzler that your upside down on...that is priceless!!!
Love my Allison!!!!:D

I dont wanna think about it, probally half of my yearly salery. If I include all the booze that goes in the boat too probally all of my yearly salery. I just think of it as a business expense. But who cares you cant put a dollar amout on fun. And just cause you spend more doesnt mean you had more fun.

Yep, not a clue. I really don't pay much attention to the fuel cost, and that is the real major expense for me.
