Just returned from 10 days in Miami, where the Hot Boat team worked a booth at the Miami Boat Show, partied, and tested boats off Key Biscayne. Since I'm a native Floridian, I also took the opportunity to visit friends and family in the Miami area. Here are some personal photos I shot while I was there. The Fontainbleau Hotel in particular was amazingly beautiful.

You poor bastard. How do you put up with working conditions like that! I'm sure you could find a labor attorney to get you out of there.

Ugh. I know. It's a living nightmare, I assure you. Between having to suck down all those margaritas and taking pictures of nearly-naked swimsuit models, it's enough to make a guy deeply depressed...

I didn't swim in the ocean on this trip, but a guy on TV said it was 76 degrees.

Ok, I looked up Blade Runner and there are some Ice Boats and one company in North Carolina...but those boats look like Boston Whalers...........

I'm pretty sure this is the hull design developed by Raymarine, based in the UK. As I understand it, the current owner hopes to start building the boats in South Florida soon. They started with a 51-footer and now also offer a 35-footer (the hull we tested). You can see a photo of the 51' here:
http://www.inwardsmarine.com/siteimages/large/Bradstone-Challenger.JPG
Here's what I found online about the boat:
"The Blade Runner is a totally new design of boat. Built in the UK by ICE Marine, it is radically different to a conventional monohull. Its 'air entrapment monohull' features dramatic twin tunnels that flare out from either side of the extremely slender twin stepped hull, finishing with sharp knife-like sponsors at the sides. This unique design gives the Blade Runner phenomenal aerodynamic lift, which significantly improves performance and softens the ride. It also makes the boat safer and more level even in rough seas."
My test driver called it "a Batboat on steroids."
More to come in the June issue.

Last year I stayed at the Fontainbleu Hilton Miami - nice digs but no plasmas in the rooms
After looking at this picture for about 10 minutes I finally noticed you and the shirt you're wearing. Any chance you can get your support staff to send mine from the last subscription so I can re-subscribe and wait over a year for the next t-shirt? :D

Yes, of course. There are two chances. "Slim" and "none." :)
