$259 registered in Az. Used to be 100 something until they realized they could get more money from us Cali idiots. We are working on our 5 year plan to get the hell out of here.

The only one down about 80 bucks is the 98 Cavalier which is going to be for sale soon.

Are you registering in Ca? Yes it is only 10 bucks for two years to register a watercraft but then you get a nice tax bill from your county. If you haven't got one yet don't think you are lucky they will probably catch up with you as your boat is valuable. I was never taxed on my waverunner when I had it but that's probably because the money to assess and send a bill wouldn't be recouped by the taxes earned. An 06 Cobra is a different story.

never registered in CA - dont know...
I pay $35.00 in AZ. However a non resident fee has gone up to $259.
Trailer was a one time gig if I recall, not much - maybe less that 20 bucks ?

Just got my registration in the mail yesterday. $20 on the boat here in Ca. I think the tax is somewhere around $50 on mine per year too. Still a lot cheaper than if I switched it to Az. :D :D

Kinda funny! Most people on these type of site are from Cali and surrounding areas. Why? Because this is the closest we are to boating without having to drive 4 or 5 hours to get to the lake where the rest of the country can be there within minutes. Hence most of your responses being from So Cal peeps.

I hear ya...I used to be on of those Cali boaters..Love Idaho. Have a bunch of clean lakes, green trees and great camping minutes from the house..One other thing, if I buy an annual boat pass, it's 35.00 to launch at great ramps, paved parking and no lines not to mention everything is clean and green..glad I made the move..
Still would like to hear from you eastern guys..I know your out there..what are you paying?

Ok, sit down for this and don't move to Washington.
Trailer: About $17.75 + $40 = $57.75
Boat: $20 + Excise tax of about .5% of taxable value of the boat.
So a $100,000 boat is about $520 and they don't use NADA values.
ALL boats must be registered even documented boats so they get their tax dollars every year.
Oh and if you sell your boat to a friend, friend owes tax just like when you bought the boat.

Liscence boat and 2 pwc's in Idaho for around $70 with dealer fees. No property tax. My trailer is in Wa for $25 a year with fees. Patyacht, why are you paying so much for your trailer? Is there some tax for you westsiders? I know Wa really watches the boating industry as it is one of thier highest places for revenue.

Yes. The $40 under the other column is because of special county fees. http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/localfees.html plus my trailer weighs in over 2,000 lbs that adds $$$$. You know Wa, run by demos so they have the take, take, take mode and give to the worthless, no working street walkers....etc....

Documented boat here but they still want it state registered. Was $26 for three years and no personal property tax. This is for a 41' LOA boat so there is no trailer.

Mine is just under 3k but still just $25. I have a pwc one that is $25 also, must be different over here with weight.
