question for olds/jacuzzi 12wj people on this site

I was wondering what kind of speeds everyone are obtaining with this combonation, also what size impeller everone is running.

Ive got a MPD 12WJ. No olds though. JAck told me that he has seen my hull with under 600 hp do low 80s, that is what we are shooting for. Woth the olds, theres no reason you could not do mid 70's or more with the right steps taken to ensure the engine doesn't fail due to oiling issues.

I have a .040 over 455 olds with an MPD prepped 12wj/b droop and diverter. I have run a best 77.8 mph a 4700 rpm on gps. With some more horsepower over the winter I will be breaking 80

jeffrey fry what kind of rpms are getting at that speed and what size impeller? How heavy is that boat anyways it looks big

Hi, at that speed im putting out 4500. The Hull is heavy its a 1972 SKV and weighs in at almost 2500 lbs Im not sure on the impellar, i need to find out!
