No kidding last time I went it was $80 for two people. Not to mention $8 a beer. So you might be looking at a $150.00 day to have a little fun.

Thanks, I needed the date to arrange a deal with my wife. I'll drive her and the kids to Phoenix to visit the Grandmom and Greatgrandmom while I spend the weekend with Neal from SDPM.
It should work out.
Neal, where have you been?

Squirt'n,
Maybe I'll see you at the ramp. I'm going to be doing the Launch and retrieve shuffle myself. Never done it at firebird. Looks like a lot of standing in line, and you probably don't get to see your boat run.

cruser who are you hauling / launching?
OverKill, 150 is close to what I spend on gas for the entire weekend including the Tahoe's fuel. You and Mrs coming? With a wheel chair you get front row. Hopefully get to put a face to the screen names on here.
TX19 you and your crew going Sunday?
Mr Sampica, 396, 460, Big Ern, Bubba, Jordan?

2carat racing, a 10 second jet from Oregon. He competes in CDBA, co-sponsor of the World Finals, and if he gets more than 316 points, he is the CDBA 10 second champion.

Hi Cruzer , missed you in Oregon this year , Hope everything is going good for you and the family. I haven't seen any pics of your Eliminator lately. I bought Mitch"s Sprint, so now I have 2 of them. I'm going to have the wife R/R it next year. Sorry for the Hijack. On to Phoenix Jim

well, 17 passes is like that... :) perhaps you could give cruzer a few lessons; for a slight fee:D
cruzer, i'm assuming you are referring to mitch, since he's 316 back of angie, not andy who is 326 back? mitch -should- be able to make that up in qualifying, would be a bit more difficult for andy.
jim, if mitch is coming, are you coming with?

cool....bob runs the 10 second class also.........the launch ramp there is fine but the retrieval one kinda sucks depending on which lane you get. there is definately alot of waiting going on but as soon as i launched him, i'd head to the retrieval ramp. if you stand on the truck you can see a little bit. some people would stay up by the start line to watch their boats run. it made it a cluster fukk at the ramp cause everyone was in line and then here comes this ass that has to get around everyone to get their boat. it was very frustrating because everyone ends up waiting with their boat in the water, wasting valuable time that could be used tuning in the pit.
here is the view from over there :)

Hellman,
Guess my math is incorrect. It's not Mitch i'm going to help, although I would if he needed it. Been beat a few times by him and have beaten him at least once.(Thank god for the Haystack race.) Great racer, very scientific about how he goes about things. Do you know if Angie is coming down?
Here are a couple of pics of the Eliminator from before I left Oregon taken at Yale Lake:

Squirt'n, don't worry, this isn't my first time for the Launch/retrieve shuffle. Just the first time at this track. I was "Crew chief" for my brother for several years. I know you gotta stay in order at the retrieve end or things get screwed up. My first race at Firebird, I came in that way. The out ramp looked interesting. Looks like I will have to get wet. CDBA provides help at the out ramp for getting the boat back on the trailer. I don't remember any such help at Firebird. At least I should be able to tell how the boat runs.

Let us not forget our West side brethren. Man 20 of the East Siders together may be a tough sell Mike. But achievable. That would be a great weekend.
