Very nice BadBlowen572, I have a '77 21'RC that I am completely redoing, stringers, transom, gel, etc.I can say I have never seen one with a jet pump, is it because you have had jets in the past or boat on shallow part of the river. Mine had a Volvo outdrive w/454 BBC and in the future it will have a
10* V drive w/540 TT BBC. Congrats on the new ride, oh yeah, and DCB thinks they have the wiring thing handled I would put yours into the mix on any day. :D

First off, thank you to everyone for their compliments. I am EXTREMELY happy with how this boat is turning out. It is EXTREMELY time consuming, but the finished product is worth it. Just for an example, I had over 8 hours on the dash alone. That included the laying it out, cutting it, grinding it, resigning it, setting the gages, and wiring it. Building your own harness is a PITA, but it is the only way that I have found to be dead on accurate when it comes to the length of the loom and the connectors in the right place. :)
Here is a picture of how the wiring loom starts out. Everything comes in spools of 500' long wire. Pull the proper amount that you need and lay it on the boat. When it is in process it looks like someone "blew up a Radio Shack" as RD puts it.
Start

As a manufacturer, we need to be able to have all bases covered for different propultion options. We have already built two boats as I/O's and they have run amazing. Now it is time to go and build a jet. These bottoms work AWESOME as a jet so we decided to build one that is all decked out. The motor is right at 800h.p. and should push the boat along nicely. This will be a great all around boat. Small enough to run the lower river, but big enough to run Havasu.
Excellent job.
That wiring is very ....DCLB'ish

Ha Ha. I definitely take pride in my wiring. It is time consuming, but it is well worth it! As for being very Schiada'ish, I will take that as a compliment! :D Schiada is as good as it can get (in my opinion). Every one of their boats is both visually and mechanically perfect. That is the goal that I hope to achieve. :)
The floor is a carbon fiber veneer that has been installed. Schiada typically uses exotic woods, we use carbon fiber. The idea definitely did stem from them though. We just took it and put a different twist on it. :)
maybe these guys "splashed" those ideas
With the tallent that many of the OEM's out there have now, everyone has to borrow ideas from other manufacturers. Every time it is done, the bar is raised and the customer benefits. Over the past 5-10 years the quality of boat building has increased significantly. Look at Wes (Froggystyle) with his new technology, he has definitely risen the bar. It is manufacturers like him that push all of the other manufacturers to keep up or get left behind. In the end, the customer is the one that truly benefits. :)

I can't wait to build a V-drive either. :) All that I have to do is to sell one of the first three boats then I will have enough money to start on the V-drive. Right now I am asking:
1st boat with 600/600 & XR Drive - $70K pretty much fully loaded
2nd boat w/ Mercury 6.2 & B1 - $48K open bow family ski boat
3rd Boat w/ 800h.p. Jet - $65K fully loaded

very, very nice looking boats you guys are building....... hat's off to you all.!
and, I'd like to make a comment about my own boat. those little nut/star-washer combo that are used for guages, windshield attaching, etc. kinda suck.
when my boat was about 2 years old, I did a major cleaning (IE: removed almost the entire interior to clean everything... )
I found ALOT of those nut/star washers sitting on the floor..... so, I replaced
all of them with SS nylock-aircraft lock nuts. problem solved....
