Do we really need the bar/resturant? We already have the chilli cook off/pot luck going so that takes care of the food. How about a pot luck bar? We all bring our favorite adult beverage and set a bar up on an open picinic table. It will be kind of like what Scott(LandSpeedRacer) did at CFW on New Years.

Sounds perfect to me JEThro. I did talk to Denise and we do have full use of the group picnic site. It is in a corral with all the picnic tables we need and it does have electricity, so we can even decorate with lights. Depending on the weather, we may need some more EZ-ups

Wow sorry about your boat being broke, but we were looking forward to seeing you and partying with you, come up any way. The bar will be open and lots of chili Saturday which will be starting at 1 or 2 in the afternoon, the grill will also be fired up for those that want to cook burgers and hot dogs or maybe steaks to have with the chili and stuff , we are taking any donations of food for the chili cook-off/pot luck. anything will help.

And.....anyone that wants to BBQ hamburgers or hot dogs (or anything else) will bring their own to throw on the community BBQ.
Oh, and since the forecast calls for a little rain here and there Saturday, some more EZups would come in handy.
We also have a communnity fire pit that we are asking for donations of firewood for please.

Well, it started out as a great weekend, even with the rain on Saturday. The chili cook off was a success and got to meet lots of great folks. Sunday sucked once our Tahoe broke down on the launch ramp and poor Vinnie didn't get to use the boat, but all in all, it was a fun time. Sanger Rich did a great job helping to get the groups together and it was my pleasure to help organize the food and supplies. "The Laid Back Boaters" and "Banderlog" groups have a Christmas Party on December 15th at the Sunset Grill (Tower Park) on the Delta, 5:30pm. If anyone is interested, register over there to get the details. There's even gonna be a lighted boat parade to boot.
