Awhile back I posted that I had this problem. The engine would run but after cruising for a 1/2 hour the motor would backfire then stop. Alot of you said it was the MSD 6AL that I had. You were right. Thanks to those who hooked me up with MSD's Web site that had the Warranty. Mine was like 7 years old before this the Multy sparker performed great. MSD charged me 39 bux for the repair. That included shipping.
They replaced a 2.2 capacitor insulator, P/N msd26696. In case some one out there ever has similar conditions. Thanks MSD. Beats 290 bux for a new one...
