Hello again V-drive gang, My father, a friend of his and myself are going to Firebird next month for the races, problem is we don't know much about the whole ordeal.
We are looking for advice about tickets for the races, whether or not you can get right in the pits like NHRA events, where should we sit, what should we make sure to see and do, and anything else you have advice about.
This is our first time being at a race of this magnitude and we want to see all we can.
Also, I think we will arrive in Phoenix early friday afternoon and are leaving Monday morning I believe.
Thanks a lot, Kevin

Get your tickets at the gate you can go everywhere starting line to finish line and in the pits all one price. Bring your camera lots to see. See you out there

Just picture an NHRA event with 1/4 the cars, and 1/20th the spectators. Bring nice cool clothes, it is usually pretty warm in the days and cool at nights. Lots to take pictures of, and can get great shots from the stands. The circle boats will be there as well, so get ready. Pits are very open and crews are pretty friendly for the most part. It is just like drag racing 30 years ago. See you there.

It's open pit and open seating except for the last about 100 feet of the finish line. Get your tickets at the gate and pick your seats in the GA bleachers. That's what I always do unless I am staying in the pits working on the boats!

Just get them at the gate. The past few years the weekend passes have been around $77 a person for spectators.

The Piggs and I are flying out Friday morning and staying until Monday morning. We had discussed taking a boat, but decided it would just be cheaper and easier to hop on a plane.

They start early, like 7:30 or 8 and don't get done until dusk.
