If you own a Denali should you really care about gas mileage? You had to know it was going to suck it up, right? What do they say the gas mileage should be anyhow?

They say about 12 city and 16 hwy, but decreases at speeds over 60 mph...;) So, if you're running 70, 80, or 90, I guess it's gonna suck.:D

thank god for a company gas card:D :D ...i dont drive mine much anyways just to tow the boat or do road trips with the family...but i dont believe the milage is was that bad towing the boat on the freeway i get right around 10-13 mpg on 24's, now on a incline it changes more like 5-7 mpg

I got the Yukon Denali...this is the first vehicle that the gas mileage has me concerned, I've never cared but damn every other day I put in $40 or so..?? I think it has all to do with the AWD..

My 07 Escalade ESV with the 6.2L gets 12 mpg. I also dont drive very slow either.
It is better than my 05 D-max was which I only ever saw 12mpg once.

My wife drives an '07 Escalade and it has that new 403 HP motor. She averages 9.4 MPG driving the kids around town. I don't know about the Denali's but I have to put 91 in this thing or it hesitates like a biatch. I had to look in the owners manual and sure enough it says it has to have 91.

I don't know how accurate the computer is, but it said I was averaging 10 MPG towing from Visalia to Havasu. Last trip to So Cal it said 17MPG, not towing and driving around 70. . Like I said, I don't know how accurate that computer is. That
s with an '07 Denali XL.

I bought an 07 in Jan. It was very comfortable but shifted terribly. I could not get a good repair and so I traded it in on my 08 GMC 2500HD in August. It towed the Magic ok.... I really dont care about milage.... little iffy above 80mph towing :D I never realized how much I would miss having a truck till I got the Denali.

Wow. I was thinking about selling my '03 Dura Max and getting the '08 Denali p/u. I keep telling myself that I really don't have any reason to get rid of the DuraMax, for the past 5000 miles I'm getting 18.5 MPG. I have 107,000 miles on it and it seems that the mileage keeps gettin better (although it did drop when the "new" diesel fuel came out).

on 22's i get maybe 10 mpg towing a jetboat @ 75-80....regular stop & go driving it is not much better. regular freeway driving when using cruise control it gets anywhere from 13-17. we always use 91 octane. no plans on getting rid of it either, we love it :)

Kind of like our 07' 403hp all wheel drive. Gets average of 13.5mpg around town. Half of that is highway driving. The rest is very local.

We headed up to Center Hill. Showed him the local area. We had enuff driving the day before going to Pier 57. Long distance that is..... Took the Viper out.... it was a killer day.... hit almost 150 coming back and I look over and he's all teeth grinning like a kid. It was classic. But it sounded like the two boats were somewhat full..... and we didnt want to intrude. Thanks for the invite tho.

We were getting 11-12 mpg in the Denali, we put redline synthetic oil in and a better breathing air filter and that picked it up to 14-15 mpg. :D

It changes from winter to summer. I kept a log in the winter and avg is 16.7 mpg mostly around town and some freeway, 3:73 gears. Summer was a smidge less at 14.6 mpg. Then again, I don't hammer the pedal cause I'm not in a hurry. I probably avg around 70 on the freeway and 50 an the backroads.

Do you guys, that are running 22's,notice a difference in the ride, compared to the stock wheels. Our's came with the 18" wheels and I'd like to go with 22's or just some of the chrome 20's(GMC wheels). Anyone have some 20" chrome takeoffs the want to get rid of?

I run 22's on my slade, and my last two suv's. You sacrafice ride for the look. Any time the tires get lower in profile, they get stiffer. You don't lose mileage by going to a 22, because they are usually the same overall diameter as the stock set up. You'll notice a difference in braking, because of the extra weight.

I had an 07 Denali, it got terrible gas milage, had a bunch of computer problems, and shifted all the damn time. I was so disapointed with it I got rid of it after only 6 months.

Just picked up an '03 yesterday, under 40K miles on the clock, super clean, so far I really like it. I have an original set of 17" wheels with less then 200 miles on the rubber, anyone have any idea what I can get for these?
