Hi, I am new to computers, and this site. What I looking for is information on my new ride, it is a Nordic Thore 19' tunnel.I have rebuilt a few old v-bottem jets but this is my first tunnel boat.As soon as I figure out how I will post some pics of the boat. The info I most interested in is engin placement. The pump set back as far as posibale, and it has drup& diverter.I dont know about intake degree. The boat is heavy. Thanks for the help. what kind of horsepower? engine placement depends on what you plan on doing with the boat and horsepower.

To cs19, It's going to be a 496BBC with alum. heads and 6/71 blower. Aprox. 8lbs boost and hoping for 850hp. As far as what the boat is going to be used for,it will be a lake boat and racing to the end of the cove! Thanks, Boe

You could try to contact Nordic (http://www.nordicpowerboats.com/index2.html) and see what they say? Or contact one of the jet gurus here in Cali. Personally I use Tom Papp (http://www.tompappracing.com) but there are others.

i think the same, find someone who has worked with that hull, sounds like a healthy motor. you should research that motor placement.I have a 19 daytona and we are at 23 from the motorplate to wood transom (kinda thick) so if your transom is thin maybe subtract an inch. I think you will end up in the same area. motor placement is pretty critical, as i found out when i needed a number for mine, i talked to everyone about it and came up with a good number. maybe even have a back seat in mine.Good luck let us know what you come up with, pics would be nice too! later

Just for comparison the engine placement in my 19' Cheyenne tunnel jet is 26" from the inside of the transom to the back of the motor mount plate.
