Most "urgent care" places will do them....no appointment and gone in 25 min.

Hay man, if you don't have medical insurance, you shouldn't be racing !!! Sorry ,but $hit happens! I went out of my boat recently, and it hurt. Without medical coverage, it would have been very costly!

I just got mine at urgent care off of 17th st and newport in costa mesa, it was 120.00 and took 1 hr, long wait I should have gotten there at 8am and I would have been out of there in 20 minutes. I have Ins but this was faster I am the last minute king

lilrick, do you have a personal policy or is it through your work?

I agree with lil rick. APBA's K&K insurance only covers up to $20K, if it wasn't for my medical coverage at work I would've been stuck with my $100k ++ bill from Long Beach in August. Make sure you have good insurance 1st.

Most work related plans don't cover DOT or FAA physicals. You have to pay for those out of pocket because they are not wellness related. I tried. $120 sounds steep, $60 to $90 should be about right and as long as you are breathing you will pass if you do it close to a truck stop.

Does IHBA require a FAA or DOT physical ?? For APBA I just printed out their physical form from their website and took it to my doctor. He did the physical, signed it, APBA accepted it and my work plan covered it. Pretty simple.

SLDBA and KDBA use DOT. Since I'm a truck driver, I just get a copy of my physical that the company paid for. Fringe benefit.

Who do you drive for? I was with Navajo for 3 years. Great outfit. Drive a mine truck in Bagdad, AZ now.

I drive for Leasway Auto Carriers a division of Performance Transportation Services. Been delivering new cars for 31+ years. I run mainly in the Great Lakes area. Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo. Snow belt. When I can get it, southern Indiana, Louisville, Lexington, Charleston Wv. I thought Navajo went out of buisness a few years back, but I've seen a few of those trucks around lately.
