Good luck with the test! I'm still amazed at how good she looks with the painted rubrail. Such a simple concept made such a HUGE difference. Love that boat.

Second time around the charm :D It turns out after changing pulleys/up to about 10# boost and adding some timing all was well w/the sled :D It's really a sweeeeeeeet ride and I like it a lot......takes a little getting used to after the Mach 22 but it's a total gas. Nice job rock-it and Dennis that is one nice motor w/lots of HP :D :D Great afternoon on the water and sunset cruise home from Tower Park....We missed the rest of the crew....catch ya next trip :)

Thanks...............got no idea really......when we finally got squared away yesterday and took off to Tower Park w/full tanks & boatload o peeps we cruised about 50-60. Turned it up to about 110 down Holland Cut...... lots left on the stick but don't like to push any harder w/riders......we still got a lot to learn about set-up & such but I shit you not, this is one sweeeeeeeet ride. Must have been hard for Rock-it to send this one to a new home :cry:

I am waiting on a fuel pump bearing still. it will be here this week. Then its back to the water for testing. I had a lean pop on one of the motors that the fuel pump was bad on. I need to check it out to make sur there is no damage to motor from being lean. I need to set timing, check plugs, get idle set correct, ect. Maybe this sunday. Lets see haw the weather is and if we get ours parts needed. :cool:

I need to check it out to make sur there is no damage to motor from being lean. I need to set timing, check plugs, get idle set correct, ect. Maybe this sunday. Lets see haw the weather is and if we get ours parts needed. :cool:
Hope you didn't hurt the motor Don. That reminds me to remind you all to make sure you are jetted big enough in this good air we have at this time of year. I checked it the other day here at home and the corrected altitude density was about 250'. That compares to around 3,000' that we normally see on the delta later in the summer. I'm not a great tune up guy but I would guess that means that we might need about 2 to 3 jet sizes larger for the good air IF we are tuned correctly for 3,000' summer air. On the other hand if we are running fat during the hotter summer days, we ought to be able to make some good power in this air. :)
I might try to hook up with you guys on the next delta run if the weather is half way decent. I need to see if my junk will run since the motor rebuild and also take some block water pressure readings. My motor builder thinks that the water pressure was too low at WOT and that was why my motor was detonating last year. :rolleyes:

No, on the pump gas....static @ 7.5 prolly close to OK on pump gas but we are going to ease into that....learn a little more about it first. No whole enchilada for me....baby steps...I think we over detuned at first and the only other pulley combination we could come up w/Saturday put us at 10 lbs we ran 110 sport gas but did'nt push her hard. Just a trial run to see if we could make it to Tower Park for drinks (Mission accomplished) ;) :D

I really feel rotton that my old sled broke . Just goes to show ,you can use the best parts made and still they break. But now Bob will have a NEW NEW !!! motor to abuse. I have always stood behind everthing I do , wheather its boats or the homes I build up here. Our new SL 44 will have the same warrenty with out a question.
Yes I will be at Desert Storm as we have purchased a sponcership and will have a booth in the cove and beach space for the boat ,I will be there at Havasu starting April 26 ( Wed ) I have two suites in the cove and theres an open bar also, will also be giving a lot of demo rides so you all come buy.
The next weekend ( May 4-7 ) I will be at the Big Cat Run at I think its called Suger Barge . Will be at the dock for demo rides and info on the new SL 44.

No sweat Dan, if you look through NP pics you can see a couple of the ride in at sunset.......it don't get much better.....except maybe to come in under your own power. I'm thinking maybe a month before we're up and running if there is no other collaterial damage :cry: we'll know more tomorrow after we pull the motor. But...................I can always go out in the field & trim the weeds around that ol DCB air up the tires and see if she will run :rolleyes: :D :D

bob-when i bought your bros spare talon if you said the dcb was for sale i might have changed my mind.maybe you had better have a spare boat until the rockit sled runs for awhile.you are not the only person with problems.the old talon has a few efi tuning problems right now.nothing i wasnt expecting though .at least it will go from point a to point b-just not fast.

I really feel rotton that my old sled broke . Just goes to show ,you can use the best parts made and still they break. But now Bob will have a NEW NEW !!! motor to abuse. I have always stood behind everthing I do , wheather its boats or the homes I build up here. Our new SL 44 will have the same warrenty with out a question.
Yes I will be at Desert Storm as we have purchased a sponcership and will have a booth in the cove and beach space for the boat ,I will be there at Havasu starting April 26 ( Wed ) I have two suites in the cove and theres an open bar also, will also be giving a lot of demo rides so you all come buy.
The next weekend ( May 4-7 ) I will be at the Big Cat Run at I think its called Suger Barge . Will be at the dock for demo rides and info on the new SL 44.

hey MO you might wanta check the boattrader, they have a 2000 carrera 257 for 15k no motor. might be worth checking into . yu could build what you want for motor and keep yours till its done for that price . its also in a thread in sandbar i think

Bob sorry to hear about the break down. Wayne may ramble on alot but he is a upstanding individual. I have come to know him over the years and he is a stand up guy and not a bad person to know. :) I still need to do a test run to beat out the bugs in mine. If the rain ever lets up I'm in the water. How long do you predict your down time will be, Bob?
