Two people were behind bars Saturday for stealing items from vehicles parked outside of a Norco fitness center, a sheriff's sergeant said.
On Thursday, Norberto Pena, 24, of Rialto, and Hrach Bedrosian, 21, of Corona, were reported to authorities for suspiciously peeking into vehicles in the parking lot of an LA Fitness at 1377 Hamner Avenue, according to Sgt. John Magnan with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies found the suspects in the parking lot and searched their red pickup truck, where two rings were found, Magnan said.
The rings were reported stolen at the LA Fitness two weeks ago. One of the rings' owner was contacted and was able to identify it as her wedding ring, Magnan said.
Deputies also searched the suspects' residence on East Van Koevering Street in Rialto, where they recovered more stolen items, Magnan said.
Pena and Bedrosian were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside for burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy to commit a crime, according to Magnan.
Sheriff's deputies asked residents who are victims of vehicle burglaries at the LA Fitness to contact them at (951) 270-5673.
