What would a 496 HO with 60 hours be worth? Trying to figure something out. :)
Thanks!

Complete, meaning with exhaust. I think a current package from merc with drive, transom, etc, is around $16,xxx. I'm sure I'm off a little. The trick with that is that its a complete motor, stand alone. Theres truely not many complete merc motors running around that aren't beat. Especially for under ten grand. Theres a couple on offshore for 8500-9000 grand, but they have 175 hours. Big difference from that to 60 hours. I'd be willing to bet with 60 hours, atleast a third of that is at idle. Are these out of your Formula?

If they're out of your formula, I would think you'd be way ahead by putting a set of whipples on it. Good luck. :D

You might want to PM Bobby (Not So Fast) and ask him. He sold his not long ago. My guess would be between $6000 to $8000. Seen HO's list new, no drive, at around $10000

Correctomundo:D it had 120 hrs serviced faithfully, but was minus the bellhousing. I would think the 7000-9000 range is where you're at but only worth what it SELLS FOR. ;) NSF

I am only kicking the idea around of a swap of stock Merc power. Brand new motors and Merc. Nothing different thn Formula offers from the factory.
Just kicking it around. Nothing crazy about this.

You know, you can get those new 700's in red, rather than the Merc Blue, and with the NXT drives.
It's gotta be tough being a baller. :D :D :D
