Use this as a guide. I'll bump the other chart on the "Gear Heads" thread it's one or two pages back I think.
Chart: http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa150/Sleepercp/scan00011-1.jpg
Depending on who blueprinted the pump the number's can be off one full cut. This chart would show approx. 650 HP
Edit: ignore the hand written notes, they are for our 565".

Jack Mclure did the pump so 725 hp should turn it I would think. Thanks for the info Sleeper!!!

If it was done by MPD you'll probably want to look at the HP chart on the Gear Heads thread. But, you should call Jack, because he told me on our impeller that it would look like one size larger on this chart. His A turned like an AA and his B turned like a B. And he was right.

Id guess somewhere in the 850 range...I was just talking to Jack about my boat- Im turning a Heritage bronze A 5600 rpm. At that RPM I am making 752 hp...If I go to an AB I should be able to turn 5800 or so(making 775 hp). A B should get me to 6k(800 hp), but Im gonna stick with the AB so I dont lose too much hole shot.

What kinda speeds are you getting in relationship to rpm????

Due to the vastly different hulls in which your hypothetical pump might be installed, there really is no accurate answer to that question. Some are very efficient, some not so much. You then add to that the effect that hardware optimization benefits the MPH to HP ratio...........
Just to clarify something else......When you use the impeller charts to determine the HP required to turn a given impeller some specific RPM, you must remember that it means you need to have that much (or more) AT that very same RPM. So if it takes 600HP to turn some impeller 6000RPM, you will need your engine to produce 600HP, or more, AT 6000RPM if you expect to reach 6000RPM. Just because your engine makes(or will make) 725HP, doesn't assure you of being able to spin your chosen impeller 6000RPM. You need more information about the engine's entire power curve to make that determination.

Yes all that and this too: the difference between observed HP and Corrected power. Unless you plan on runninng your boat on a 60* day at sea level you willprobably not see the number you are loking for. Tune to the observed numbers and you are actually better off running on the dyno on a 90-100 degree day for a river racer. Just my.02
