Watched it last night. I can't believe I have not seen this till last night (not sure why  ). My mom and dad have been telling me to see it forever.
If you are a motorhead, or a biker, you must see this movie. Unbelievable true story.
The extras are cool as well. There is a biography short film too about him in the extras that is very neat.
Just thought I would let everyone know.

I liked it too. Seemed kind of obscure, I had never heard it advertised but I found it on Netflix so I put in on our list. I was really good.
Makes me want to go to the flats.

I haven't seen it yet, but have always wanted to. I think I might just buy it now.
I really liked Madison (http://www.madisonthemovie.com/) about the true story of the hydroplane that beat Bud on a shoestring back in the 70's.

You're not alone ! I didn't see yet the 'Motorcycling Diary' either , and they had the same bike [ 39 Norton] in that movie as the one I've sold recently. I definitely want to see the 'Fastest Indian' one day .Winter is around the corner so there will be more time to watch movies .

An old family friend, Roger Whipp, built the first motors for this car, The Redhead, which is heavily featured in the movie.
He and my uncle spend a fair bit of time on the salt flats.
Roger had a speed shop and my uncle sold BSA's in Redding in the early '60s. They both went on to build some boats.
Cool movie. Reminded me of some pictures I used to see hanging up at Rogers house, but never in a million years (uh, my youth) connected to this event.

Makes me want to go out in the garage and start hacking away at the old KZ.
One of my favorite lines from the movie
"I knew a McFarland, used to sell milking machines...you must be related to him, cause he was a real prick":D
