all of us up here in the great northwest have all of you in our prayers. we know that there is a lot of stress with the fires down there. i know that there are a lot of hero's doing what they can to save what they can. also i hope that all of you were able to save your hot boats.

It's pretty crazy. The wind has died down but it was insane. 80mph winds sending burning embers. Lots of smoke, lots of ash. It's still in the high 90's temp wise at my shop today. I'm fine but I do know a few peeps that lost homes. My wife works in Irvin right off the 5 freeway. They sent her home on Monday and she's still there. All the local spots I mountain bike are burnt. And let me tell you, the brush is thick and dry as a popcorn fart. Those canyons are f'in steep too. I could not image trying to put out that fire.
Check out how dry this is. Taken a few weeks ago.

amazing pictures i use to be a fire fighter on forest fires in idaho and the fire fuel looks like it is explosive which makes for very difficult fire fighting. it is amazing that there is not more fires.
