New to jets (basic Q's)

Hello Everyone, just got my 1st jet '77 glastron-carlson cvx-20 w/ 460. Alot of this is probably really basic stuff, but please bear with me. The 460 has dove heads, a mild hyd. cam, 780 holley on a dp aluminum intake, msd 6al and stock manifolds and 11-1 comp. All the jet stuff is A-T. Right now it has a B impeller, but I have been told I should switch to an A or An AA. What should I try to Improve upon, and what is this capable of approximately. Thanks.....Tommy

Start with a set of headers.

the b would allow the motor to reach its peak hp range if you switch to an a or aa it might not use the max hp availible.

Ah not so fast grass hopper, 1st you need to know what rpm he is turnning.
11-1 comp is high so you need to run a mix of race gas. Also if speed is your goal the logs are killing you and your rpm. Run it and post some numbers you will get alot of opinions http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif Good luck Don
