Lucky the parts stopped at the pan and didn't go to the hull!

I don't think it is possible that he didn't put a window in that pan.
That might be on the top three list of violent come-aparts I have seen...

It was in a friend's drag car, a very nice '69 Mach 1. I thought I would share.
He purchased the car and was told the engine had some good parts in it but a stock crank, so he takes it home and the closest drag track is a 1/8th mile track . He changed the gear's and she blew at 8,600 in the lights on the second pass. Dumb ass:(
When he pulled the heads off only two pistons were in cylinders and the funny thing is they were in the wrong cylinders. :eek:
It is on my top 2 list of blow ups. Can you count how many pieces the crank is in?

It's the same friends. It's 556" (4.5x4.375) Shelby Alumi. block , billet crank, etc.,. etc. It's going in his all alumi. Cobra rep. (the car made in Poland at the old Mig factory)

He should have better luck with the replacement engine.
