The dust storm looks great!! The particulate matter looks to be on the high side. Other than the lack of bikinis, and all the dust it looks great!!!
Really, it looks like you had fun and we talk of the day we will do Dumont... :D Oh, well.... Some day..

What do they use the "blade" for. ?? NSF

The blade is used to grade the mesa after everybody does the circle jerks tracks in camp. Makes it much safer to ride. I can not count the times riders come screaming across the mesa only to hit a hole a child made and was seriously injured
Looks like you were camped just past the LE camp and down the mesa to the right. Best place ever to camp..... :D

We have a bunch of friends in Vegas, so we normally meet up in Dumont. My friends were up there last weekend. We normally go Halloween and Presidents weekend. Smaller than Glamis but still a good time.

We camp in D2 D3 because when the wind picks up, ya get dust and less sand than when one camps closer to the sand dunes themselves.
On busy weekends, ya get both less dust and less sand at D2, and fewer camp racers.
The only safety issue I can't control are camp racers and they present the most threat to injuring your kids.
Nov 21 we'll be riding/driving from D2 to the China Ranch along and on the Tidelands and Tonopah Railroad bed right-a-way if anyone is interested in joining us.
Wife pax a nice lunch for everyone.

I think there both pretty cool....no goubt Glamis is larger but the bowls and size of the main dunes are alot bigger at dumont.
We ususally camp smack dabb in the middle of E-5
We are leaving in a few minutes for the weekend and then back out again on the 21st for Turkey day:):)
