I have a guy that wants to sell me a 16 or 17ft texas tunnel hull. It has a very short picklefork on the front(like 6 inches back). Its a very light layup. The seats a practically sitting out of the hull. I have always wanted a picklefork tunnel hull. Is this a good hull or what? Does anyone have any pics of one? I will try to shoot a pic later today of it.

Very light, very fast if set up right, can be very scary.
Being so short and light its a smooth water hull mostly for drag racing.
Go for it!

Sounds like a Texas Tunnel but they are gone, fast boats but most are about 300lbs or less not a lake boat for sure

I was just looking at one the other day the guy hit the front and it wobled all the way down the deck like jello.I would say it is a Race only hull he said it is hard to shout down in a short race corse.Just imagine trying to turn it on the lake at speed to get out of some ones way. This guy had been thrown out of his last season and it took part of the gunnel with him.Though it was repared. They are cool looking, looks like Cat ears on the front.Jake

Some of them are so thin the bottom flexes enough to unload the pump in the slightest chop.
They are fast and are notorious for spitting out the driver if you loose power.
Other than that they haul ass.

Is there any way we can reinfore the whole boat to make it safer? My father is very good at glass and he said bring it on and we will spice it up. I said hold on I have to ask my ***boat brothers first. I really like that hull desing. You guys have to remember that I already have 2 boats so it wont be at the lake all the time. I like my rooster boats. What do you guys think?
