I have an extra nice, low hours Gen 6 block and forged steel 427 crank that I am going to add a set of forged std bore GM pistons on 3/8" dimple rods, have the assembly balanced, then assemble with a custom hydraulic roller cam with factory type lifters and hardware. Don't have an exact total yet, and can customize to meet your needs, jet, outdrive or v-drive. This one does not have a fuel pump boss, so will require an electric fuel pump, but should be a real nice engine, all parts available for inspection prior to assembly, probably about $3500 total as a long block. You would need oil pump, pickup, pan and intake, or can work a price with those supplied also.

This is a nice piece, Gen 6 block extremely low hours (about 20), freshly honed, std/std forged steel crank.

What HP you lookin at with this? Also, I assume this is a pump gas friendly motor? I have a 21 ft day cruiser v drive...needs a motor.
thanks.

I would feel safe saying 1HP per cubic inch, but it's not assembled yet, could make some changes. Compression is just under 10 to 1 based on my calculations.

I am looking for a motor that makes approx 500 hp on pump gas.

Cubic inches is the easiest way to do that. I can put together a 496 for you. I have a 505 here also, all American parts.
A 427 can be made to make 500 HP but your larger cruiser would be happier with more cubic inches.
