On my 460 ford intake manifold ther is a plate on the side, between number 4 and 6 cylinders. I haven't taken it off but is appears to cover a round hole in the manifold, it also looks factory original. Any ideas on what the hole in the manifold is for? :confused:

i think it may be a egr valve port in the intake. what kind of intake is it if its ford what are the casting numbers

maybe hot-air choke setup, blocked off.is it next to carb?

I would guess it's where the original choke stove pipes went into the exhaust crossover.
