It's amazing as I get older how much I appreciate the places my parents took me as a child. Went to visit my mom last weekend, she lives in BFE Utah about 20 minutes from Zion ( If you drive over the mountain on a semi maintained 4x4 required road). Here's some of Zion and a 5 hour off road ride.

ZION is beautiful ..... We went through there our first year to Powell and although it was basically an additional 1/2 hour detour, it was well worth it and I look forward to going back some day ;)

Yep, was hoping to have a couple more, but they couldn't make it. Likely going back in Jauary to visit Bryce Canyon and more riding.

Southern Utah is some of the most beautiful and spectacular scenary in this country. Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Powell.
BTW, those shoes are gay.

One of my dream trips is spending a month or so with momma in the truck & camper wandering that party of the world.
We got a little taste of it driving through Capitol Reef Park to Bullfrog bay on Powell in 2002. We came through there at sunrise after a early moring thunderstorm.
It was magic.
