Your boat is a splash of the old Spectra 19. Several builders copied the boat over the years including Eliminator, Tahiti, Caribbean, Hawaiian, Hallett, and most recently Powerboats Inc.
If you're looking for specs check the Spectra Marine (http://www.spectramarine.com/) site.
Congrats on the new ride!

Thanks for the info. I was told it was a Hawaiian but I wanted to know its original mold! This boat was not built in Norco though some individual I think made this one off the mold. Powerboats said they were trying to buy the molds. My info. is or may not be accurate!!!!! Thanks this helped me a lot!!!!
Now I know what to call this boat, HINES 57:D :D :D

We never had that mold at Hawaiian and I don't think that Hallett did either. They did have their own version of the old 18 Spectra though. :)
Jerry Gilbreth bought the 19 molds from Spectra went they went under and had some kinda deal with Eliminator to build them. He offered them under his own name too, GMT I think

Powerboats Inc., formerly Hawaiian Powerboats Inc., had this exact boat at the LA Boat Show back in February, $19K with no motor, $23k for SBC & $28isK for a BBC.
What I've learned about the boat business is everyone has a friend or knows a guy who has the molds to this or that, and he'll lay one up for you at the "friend price."
Glad I was able to help you out!

I was talking about Hawaiian boats, not Hawaiian Powerboats or any of the others that used the name after 1980 when we closed the doors.

I knew that, really I did :D
Actually I ment to write Hardin in my first post, but Hawaiian came out, I'll chock it up to a brain fart ;)
Hallett had a there own variation of the Spectra 19, but I do believe they built there own deck.

Tahiti/Hardin same thing in the 80's. Hardin owned the name back then, 3rd owners.
I don't think Hallett had the 19 Spectra, different deck or other wise, but I could be wrong. They did have the 18 Spectra with a little point added to the blunt rounded nose.

Your buddys 19 Hallett is based on the 18 Spectra, not the 19 Spectra that started this thread. Riverbound's 18 Spectra below.

Your buddy has a 18' Hallett Jetstar Mini Cruiser.

The Spectra 19 & the Hallett Barron Sprint 19 have very similar bottoms, but different decks.

I have a friend that owns an early 80's eliminator(19ft) and it rides wet but very stable and smooth. On the other hand, my other friend just sold his 1992 that was similar but a few minor changes. IT rode very dry and was a bit on the rough side.......
I love them hulls. They have some sexy lines for a cruiser. You can get good speed and a very comfortable ride at the same time.

Email me at clloyd7 at AOL dot COM for some specific information and pictures of your boat.
You might want to check a few things before you get it wet.

Here is a photo of my GMT-19 / Spectra 19. As mentioned above my rides wet, it has 4 stringer's & the bottom strakes were originally designed for a v-drive. It is one of the nicest riding smaller boats I have ever ridden in.

Well one thing i notice about this pic,...Wayne, of old hawaiian boats (Wich ever one he is involved with, old or new hawaiian) is the guy in the grey sweatshirt, dont know what affiliation he is with this boat, but im sure he probably has something to do with it.
My non-edumicated guess would say it is or is being built as a Hawaiian.

Wayne has something to do with Powerboats Inc. This exact same boat was being offered by Powerboats Inc. at the LA Boat Show back in February! I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that Powerboats Inc. had Stan build them the boat.

The boat is being rigged by powerboats for me! He knew of this boat when I was looking for a new boat. I would like to talk to someone who built this boat to get a little more info. on construction if possible!

Wayne never had anything to do with the original Hawaiian boats, 1974-1980...but he sure looks like a happy fella. Boat biz will do that to you.
There's a beautiful GMT in the trader right now for 55K

HAHA, I thought the same thing too, funny thing is thats how he looked everyday at the boat show last year, only difference was he had on a collared shirt. Any biz will do that to you if you let it.
And that is a beautiful boat!

Thanks for the nice words.... Old Rigger / Hackjob / Flatbroke are the best referrences for the Spectra that I know.
BTW Hackjob & Flatbroke both checked out the boat at the top of the thread at the LA boat show & had some good information on it..

Thanks for the kind words Greg, but I gleaned a lot of what i know about Spectras from Spectra Brent and the resources he's made available to Spectra owners. Old Rigger has also given me great insight into the other variants/splashes of the Spectra hulls. I'm just good at being a sponge for info and being able to recall it when need be ;)
With regard to this thread, I already swapped emails with the original poster, and I think he has a good understanding of the boat he picked up.
