its birth certificate says it is a 20.
I got some big junk indicated like you measure a cat's tail, from arshole to tip
sort of like this boat, I got a 20 if you measure it from the end of the pump to the sponson tips, otherwise it measures 18 or so

We now are selling the 19ft Cheyenne from Erivin . The first 1 will be here soon and it will be at Anna this Spring. Are you looking to buy a tunnel ? I have the white one and it might be for sale...............................

Pops and I are thinking about buying a bare hull and going from there. Can you PM me some info on the Chey you sell? Black, bare hull. Lake layup.
Reason is...we weighing options. Southwind needs work and gel/paint and you really have as much invested in it as a new hull and use my hardware, I THINK.

Yeah...nice boats. want one. I didn't get a chance to call you but I will first of the week. I like the Chey's. I've talked to Papp...and seen his boats. VERY nice, no doubt. But talked to him briefly awhile back and he said to e-mail ALL the specs on what I wanted. I did, he never got back to me. So...you're much closer anyways and I dig the Chey look more anyways. I'll be in touch.

It's a 466 roller with Blue Thunder B heads & a 1050 Dominator @11.5/1
was able to hit 98.7 gps this last summer. Getting ready to put in a new cam, and take it back down to Ervin for a bigger bubble. Hopefully that will get me into tripple digits without decimal points! lol

my ultra and your cheyenne look like the bottoms are very similar. both have the reliefs along the side of the center pod. Looks like only the decks are different. how big of a bubble is yours going back to Ervin for and what prompted you to add it?

Cyclone,
I'll find some later this evening....gotta run and check on a friend.
We had 5 tornados blow through here 2 nights ago, and I just found out that one passed VERY close to her house, if not on top of it.

Cyclone...I always thought that the Ultra was a Cheyenne? I heard that somewhere, didn't realize the tops were different.

Ok, enough bottom for you? :) These were taken just after it was pulled. Pay close attention to the fact that there is not one little ripple or imperfection in the bottom of these!

Cyclone,
Having never seen an Ultra, I really couldn't say. If you like I could call Erv and ask him...I'm sure he would know. I do know that he spent 6 mos straightening every little imperfection in the molds before he would even lay up my boat! Persnickity bastard. It was well worth the wait though.
It's all done with Bi-Axial cloth and Vinalpolyester resin. Really amazing stuff.
Erv took a 12"x6" piece of cloth and impregneted it with the resin and let it set for a couple of days. Next time I came down, he said see if you can break this. I made a complete circle out of it over and over, not even a cracking sound. Knowing how I use a boat, Erv made mine so I could "jump a 6' wake and still have a boat under me when I landed". It ended up weighing right under 450.

Thanks Red,
It's been a dream of mine for a long time too....I ran a "patched up boat" for a long time. We are livng in 4 rooms of a "patched-up" 100 year old house while I finish the rest of it as we can. God love my little French bride. She said you have wanted one for so long, lets go for it...the house will wait.
I'm really thinkin she's a keeper at this point! LOL

I talked to Ervin a while back about his hulls and my Ultra. he said the bottoms were very different but after looking at yours, they look identical to me. As far as I know, mine came from a cheyenne mold, either the 2nd or 3rd generation.
Looks like only the deck is different. Im surprised yours is as light as it is being an all glass boat. Mine doesn't have nearly as much wood in it (none in the transom or gunnels) as yours does and was layed up with similar materials and still weighs about 30 pounds more.
thanks for the photos! :)

Cyclone,
You are very welcome for the pics. Glad to assist. It would be nearly impossible to tell the differences from photographs I would think unless it was some glaring difference. If Ervin says there is a difference, then you can take it to the bank! That guy is a two-legged encyclopedia when it comes to jetboats. Would be really interesting to have the two sitting side by side wouldn't it?
Have you got a better pic of your deck?
Ken
